Roof repair
For a leak, a stain that grows after rain, or a few shingles or tiles out of place on a roof that still has years left.
Most repairs are at the flashing, a pipe boot, a valley or a lifted course of shingles. The page covers where leaks usually start on each roof type, when a small repair needs a permit, and what you’ll see in the written price before any work starts.

Emergency repair and tarping
For water coming in now, or a hole after a storm or a fallen limb.
What to do inside the house in the first hour, what the insurer will want to see later, and what a proper tarp job includes. Call while it’s still raining and we’ll get a roofer out to cover it.

Storm damage
For the days after a named storm or a hailstorm, when you’re deciding whether to file a claim.
How wind and hail damage actually look, how Florida’s hurricane deductible works, and what your roofer writes up on the visit so the claim has what it needs.

Roof replacement
For a roof at the end of its life, or one an insurer won’t keep covering as it is.
A Florida re-roof from tear-off to final inspection: the deck check, the upgrades older houses need under current code, the two permit inspections, and the mitigation paperwork that can lower your premium afterward.

Roof installation
For new builds, additions, porch and lanai roofs, and switching to a different roofing system.
Where additions leak at the tie-in, how flat a porch roof can be, what Florida Product Approval numbers on a quote mean, and what a FORTIFIED Roof adds at install time.

Roof inspection
For an insurance form, a home sale, a check after a storm, or a look before hurricane season.
Insurers, lenders and buyers each ask for a different kind of roof inspection. Tell us who’s asking, and your roofer does the one they need, with the written report.

Moss and algae removal
For black streaks on the shingles, a stained tile roof, or an HOA letter about the roof’s appearance.
Why the streaks show up on the shaded slopes, how a roofer cleans them off at low pressure, and why a pressure washer does more harm than the algae.

Not sure which one you need?
Start with what you can see. Water inside means repair, and today if it’s still raining. Damage right after a storm means storm damage, and your roofer documents it for the claim. A roof that’s just old, with nothing leaking, is a question about replacement or a certification for the insurer. The repair or replace guide walks through the middle cases.
Or call (813) 227-6775Questions before you call
Is it a repair or a replacement?
Age and extent decide most of it. A leak on a roof with years left is usually a repair. Widespread granule loss, curling, soft decking or an insurer refusing the roof push it toward replacement. In Florida, a big repair on a roof older than the 2007 code can also trigger a full code upgrade.
Do I call for an inspection or a repair?
If water is getting in, ask for the repair and the roofer will inspect as part of it. If nothing is leaking and someone (an insurer, lender or buyer) wants paperwork, ask for the specific form they named. The roof inspection page lists them.
What if I don’t know what kind of roof I have?
Say what it looks like from the street: flat strips, curved or flat tiles, metal panels, or a flat roof on part of the house. Your roofer confirms it on site.
